Project freight forwarder Dako Worldwide Transport has handled an intra-Europe project, moving an oversized tube cage from Romania to Bulgaria.
The tube cage, which measured 22.6 m x 5.4 m x 4.9 m and weighed 88 tonnes was transported from Săvinești, Romania to Pirdop, Bulgaria, with the entire route handled by road.
With space restrictions and to ensure compliance with local regulations, the tube cage was transloaded onto a long lowbed trailer configuration. Space was again restricted at the jobsite, however Dako positioned the project cargo precisely under the crane’s hook, ready for the final lift.
Last month, Dako transported wind turbine components from India to the USA.
