Cosmatos Shipping Services, part of Cosmatos Group, has handled the loading of two pieces of refinery equipment at Thessaloniki port, Greece, which are destined for Antwerp, Belgium.
The two pieces – an intermediate flash tank and a refillable hydrogen sulphide (HSR) scrubber – weighed a combined 71 tonnes. The former rapidly reduces the pressure on a heated liquid mixture, whereas the latter is used to remove hydrogen sulphide from natural gas streams, allowing for measurement of oxygen and other gases.
“Our scope included the chartering of the vessel, port operations in tandem and single lift including rigging, lashing and welding, as well a survey report and relevant port entry documentation,” said a Cosmatos spokesperson.
The cargoes were manufactured by Greek oil and gas company, EKME SA, in Thessaloniki.
Cosmatos is member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Greece.
Last month, Cosmatos shipped three bullet tanks from Thessaloniki port to Sousaki port, Greece.
