Cosmatos Shipping Services, acting as the local ship’s agent, discharged a range of heavy lift and project cargoes from Chipolbrok’s multipurpose vessel Chipolbrok Pacific in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Cosmatos oversaw the offloading of wind turbine towers, transformers and their accessories. The company’s scope included the ship’s husbandry, the unwelding/unlashing operations, stevedoring and cranage, and part of the import Customs formalities.
The company also handled the temporary storage of transformers at the port open area and the accessories in a covered area.
In total, Cosmatos handled 45 wind turbine towers, two transformers and 32 packages, with weights tipping the scales at 110 tonnes.
