Conveyor Logistics has handled the inland transportation of oversized cargoes for the Ghorashal 365 MW combined-cycle power plant in Bangladesh.
Components for the power plant arrived at the ports of Mongla and Chittagong in Bangladesh and were moved by road and river to the project site.
The heaviest items, the 314-ton (285-tonne) gas turbine and 328-ton (298-tonne) gas turbine generator, were loaded onto flat barges at the port of Mongla and transported by river to Ghorashal.
After discharge from the barges, the cargoes were skidded to the project site.
Conveyor Logistics is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in Bangladesh.
