Months of detailed planning came before the transportation, including thorough capacity assessments of bridges along the designated route.

A gantry crane was used to carefully manoeuvre the equipment, before it was loaded onto a 20-axle truck. It was then transferred onto a river vessel and delivered to Comark’s client in Germany. As well as the 200-tonne rotor, Comark transported two 110-tonne components which had been fabricated by Slovenian manufacturing company ADK, which were heading to the Netherlands.

All three components were safely delivered to their destinations.

Comark won the Editor’s Choice Award at HLPFI’s Heavy Lift Awards 2024.
