UK-based heavy haulier Collett & Sons has wrapped up its work at Limekiln wind farm in the Scottish Highlands, UK.

Delivering a total of 216 components to site, Collett has finished its work for the project in the far north of Scotland.

Components were shipped to Scrabster Harbour in the Scottish Highlands, before Collett’s fleet  transported them to the site.

Standout components were 67-m-long Vestas blades, which Collett transported using Nooteboom blade trailers. The Nooteboom clamp trailer was used to move the base tower sections, which each weighed 74 tonnes.

To guarantee the safe passage of oversized components, the sharp bend of a road near the port had to be widened.

Last month, Collett opened a new office at its depot in Bradford, UK.
