China-based City Union Logistics has coordinated the transport of four transformers and their accessories from Shandong province to Shanghai port, China.
Each transformer weighed 158 tons (143 tonnes).
The units were loaded onto four-axle trailers, and the accessories were loaded on 34 step trucks ready for onward transport. On route, the company paid close attention to route safety and height restrictions, ensuring that the vehicles met the access requirements at all locations.
Once at the port, the logistics company handled the unloading of the accessories onto the ground while the transformers remained on the axle trailers for loading onto a vessel.
