Two Chipolbrok-owned sisterships have completed voyages from Europe to China, crossing paths at the port of Hamburg.

The Adam Asnyk, built in 2009, arrived at the Port of Antwerp on a weekend. Work began on a Monday to unload project cargo from the Far East before loading heavy and general cargoes. On Wednesday afternoon, the ship shifted at the Deufol Wallmann terminal in Reiherstieg, Hamburg (Germany) to take top-off loads.

There was a meeting with its sistership, Leopold Staff, in Hamburg, which was on its hundredth voyage. It too had sailed from Antwerp, via the Germany city, before heading back to China.

Adam Asny began its eastbound journey to the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia and China. Once in its home waters, there was a longer stay at the shipyard for a re-fit.

Both ships belong to a fleet of 10 heavy-lift Orkan-class vessels, built at Chinese shipyards between 2003 and 2011, and have a lift capacity of up to 640 tonnes.
