C.H. Robinson has transported 645 cu m of cargo from Shanghai in China to Savannah in Georgia, the USA.
The shipment comprised two process vessels, one tank and associated pieces. The total weight of the cargoes amounted to 84.8 tonnes; the largest piece measured 22.5 m x 3.7 m x 3.8 m.
The cargoes were loaded onto Mafi trailers and towed into the vessel’s hold and carefully secured in place to ensure the cargo did not shift during the ocean voyage. Eight weeks later and the vessel arrived at the port of Savannah, where the cargo was unloaded and continued its journey to the final destination 425 km away.
