Central Oceans has loaded a ferry named Saoirse Na Farraige onboard SAL Heavy Lift’s vessel Svenja in Hong Kong.
Before the lift could take place, the Central Oceans team worked with its client and insurance company to ensure that suitable lifting equipment and cradles were designed.
Central Oceans said: “We ensured the entire process was followed up and, with the help of an excellent team of divers, placed the slings in their correct position for a smooth lift.”
The ferry is now on its way the Aran Islands in the Republic of Ireland, where it will run passenger services to make the islands more accessible to visitors.
Central Oceans is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
