Ceccanti, a construction company based in Tacoma, USA, has replaced a wooden bridge in Ridgefield, Washington using a MLC300 crawler crane.
The wooden structure is being replaced with two-lane concrete bridge.
The 350-tonne capacity crane from Manitowoc was positioned on a bulkhead built on the shore of river next to the bridge. It was used to set shaft cages, position casings and install girder structures weighing up to 66.5 tons (60.3 tonnes). Some of the cages weighed 61 tons (55.3 tonnes) and had to be hoisted to a height of 125 ft (38.1 m).
The project began in February 2018 and is scheduled to be completed in November.
