Boskalis has loaded the cruise ship Carnival Vista on its semi-submersible heavy lift vessel BOKA Vanguard for repair works.
Carnival Vista, the second-largest cruise ship in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet, suffered technical issues with its main propulsion system, as HLPFI reported here.
The loading and lifting onto BOKA Vanguard took place offshore Freeport, the Bahamas, on July 13, 2019. Boskalis transported Carnival Vista to a facility at Grand Bahama Shipyard, where repair works will take place.
Boskalis confirmed that Carnival Vista will be offloaded in time for its next scheduled cruise voyage departing from Texas, USA on 27 July.
