The Fremantle Highway - aboard the Boka Vanguard - departing the port of Rotterdam

With the car carrier in need of extensive repairs following a fire in the North Sea in 2023, cribbing wood was precisely installed on the deck of the Boskalis vessel to support the cargo.

The Boka Vanguard submerged to 24 m, the required depth for the journey. Then, staff on the vessel attached winches to the cargo, ensuring a secure position on deck.

Once the cargo had been removed of its ballast and sea fastened, the Boka Vanguard set sail from the Port of Rotterdam, Netherlands, to China.

The vessel will undergo further repairs and modifications in China before returning to service.

In November 2024, Boskalis delivered the final monopiles for the Eoliennes en Mer Iles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier offshore wind farm in France.
