The 488 MW project in France is being developed by Ocean Winds. The monopiles for this project were fabricated in Southeast Asia. From there, Boskalis’ two semi-submersible heavy transport vessels, Black Marlin and Blue Marlin, moved the 61 foundation to Europe in just four voyages.

Black Marlin carried 11 monopiles on its first voyage, before delivering another 10 to the port of La Rochelle. Thanks to an earlier widening of the deck to 63 m, its sister vessel Blue Marlin transported a massive 20 monopiles on its next two voyages.
