Bolloré Logistics Belgium has handled six wind turbine blades for an onshore wind farm in Heibloem, the Netherlands.
The wind turbine blades, measuring 74.5 m long, arrived at the port of Antwerp on February 2.
Prior to the discharge operations, an unloading concept was discussed in a toolbox meeting between Bolloré Logistics, the client, terminal operator and subcontractors. It was decided that two Gottwald 100-tonne capacity cranes would be used for the unloading.
The oversized loads then departed the port for onward delivery to the project site in the Netherlands.
