Norwegian offshore services Boa has transported a large jacket from Malaysia to the east coast of India.
The living quarter and utility platform (LQUP) jacket was moved from Lumut, Malaysia, to the ONGC deepwater oil and gas field KG-DWN-98/2, located offshore India’s east coast. The semi-submersible Boabarge 33 was used for the project. During the offshore installation, the LQUP jacket was lifted by the barge itself in tandem with an offshore installation vessel.
Boa credited its project team’s commitment and the cooperation with client McDermott as pivotal to overcoming the logistical and technical challenges presented by this operation.
