Blue Water Shipping has completed the transport of 15 topside modules for the Agogo FPSO project.

It is the third time that Blue Water has collaborated with Singapore’s Yinson Production, having previously managed complex shipments of key FPSO equipment such as pumps, compressors, generators and breakbulk cargo.

11 modules were shipped from Batam, Indonesia to Shanghai. Blue Water handled the design and fabrication of grillages, as well as overseeing the transport scope.

The modules were placed directly on the vessels’ pre-positioned grillages for shipment. The largest module measured 37 m high and weighed 3,300 tonnes.

Blue Water said that its role extended beyond logistics, helping to align shipyard schedules, customer expectations and stringent HSSEQ, quality and marine warranty standards. “We are honoured to collaborate with Yinson Production on this milestone project. Its seamless and safe execution was made possible by our team’s exceptional teamwork, expertise and decades of experience, as well as support from all stakeholders,” said Jason Goh, senior vice president, Asia.

The Agogo FPSO will be operated by Yinson Production for Azule Energy.
