NTC Logistics has handled the delivery of 48 wind turbine blades from Deendayal Port in Gujarat, India to Laem Chabang in Thailand.
Each blade measured 67.2 m in length, which NTC claims are the longest blades transported from India. In total, NTC handled 81,000 freight tonnes of cargo.
25 of NTC’s own vehicles were used for moving the blades over a distance of 500 km. Each convoy, specially designed for the over-dimensional blades, was escorted by an NTC representative.
The consignment reached the port from Halol in three days. At the port, the blades were loaded onto a vessel from Cosco Shipping’s fleet and stored using I-Frames for the ocean transport.
NTC Logistics is a member of the WCA Projects network, representing India.
