Bertling Logistics transported subsea structures, including eight heavy lift units weighing up to 150 tonnes and a suction pile measuring 23 m high, from Marina di Carrara, Italy, to Lobito, Angola.
Bertling’s team in Aberdeen worked with all parties to agree on the complex lashing arrangements and handling procedure prior to the work commencing; two of the more complicated aspects of the project involved the loading and securing of the delicate manifold to the transport frame and the securing of the suction pile.
