USA-based heavy transport specialist Berard has delivered a 60.8-tonne transformer from China, Texas, to Cleveland.
Berard deployed a 13-axle Trail King steerable lowboy trailer and prime mover for the transport. The company said this not only handled the weight of the cargo but made the route’s tight turns more manageable also.
Upon arrival at the final location, Berard had to manoeuvre the cargo in a tight left turn into the substation. Additionally, Berard said that it had to contend with rain showers throughout the trip but was able to continue safely and on time.
