Barrus Projects has delivered nacelles for the Kamensko-Krasnoselskaya and Gukovo wind farms in Russia.
54 units manufactured by Vestas and weighing 67.5 tonnes each have been transported from the production facility in Dzerzhinsk, in the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast region.
The components were moved to a specialised jetty that can handle heavy and oversized cargoes and loaded onto a vessel for onward transportation using Russia’s inland waterway network.
Measuring 12.73 m x 4.17 m x 3.18 m, the nacelles were transported using Barrus Projects’ fleet of Goldhofer PST/SL modules, equipped with power pack units and accompanied by specialised Mercedes-Benz ballast trucks.
Barrus will continue to support the construction of the wind farms and will handle another 24 nacelles before the end of September.
