Abnormal Load Services (ALS) has transported an excavator and six T284 Liebherr dump trucks to a remote copper mine in Panama.
Heavy truck components were transported using Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean’s (WW Ocean) North America/South America ro-ro service; the smaller components were delivered in containers from five factories around the world. All the components were consolidated in Manzanillo.
One hectare of land was prepared by the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solution's equipment processing team in Panama for the assembly of the equipment.
The fully assembled dump trucks, weighing 260 tonnes each, were subsequently transported to the port of Punta Rincon using a heavy lift barge.
