Heavy lift and specialised transport engineering company ALE was on hand in Mississippi, USA, to help deliver five pressure vessels.
The vessels were due to be delivered to the project site by barge. However, the client realised that specialist support was needed to ensure the units could be transported safely to their final installation site.
ALE was able to react quickly and mobilise SPMT lines from its US fleet, performing the transport the day after mobilisation. This allowed the project to stay on schedule and avoid potentially costly delays.
“The transport of the pressure vessels was on the project’s critical path, which demanded we were able to identify the correct solution and implement it successfully within a very tight timeframe,” said Mike Crawford, account manager at ALE.
“This was made possible thanks to the specialist experience of our local team and the range of equipment we have available in the USA. All the vessels were transported safely within a two-day window so that subsequent work could continue as planned,” he added.
