Charter broker Air Partner has coordinated the delivery of two heavy crates containing oil well spares from southern Europe to the Middle East.
The crates weighed 42 tonnes, which required the use of a 70-tonne capacity crane, a high-capacity flatbed trailer and extra shoring equipment, including a 20 ft flatrack for loading.
An IL 76 freighter aircraft was utilised for the project due to its capability to handle oversized and heavy cargo. Both the height and payload neared the maximum capacity of the aircraft.
