The vessel has been designed for use in the offshore renewable energy and installation market.

As HLPFI reported here, the Alfa Lift design includes a 3,000-tonne capacity crane from Liebherr and will be able to perform heavy lift operations while the main deck is submerged.

The vessel has a total length of 216.3 m and a breadth of 56 m, while the total usable deck area exceeds 10,000 sq m. Up to ten 1,500-tonne jacket foundations, or eleven 2,000-tonne monopolies, can be loaded on to the deck, transported and installed, said OHT.

The ship will enter service in early 2021.
