Philippe Somers has stepped down from his role as senior vice president of Industrial Projects at Geodis, as the company reorganises its project logistics and oil and gas activities.
As part of the reorganisation, Luke Mace has been appointed as senior vice president – projects. George Abreu has been named senior vice president – oil and gas.
Both Mace and Abreu have held various senior positions within the Geodis Industrial Projects division over several years, with a focus on business development and profit and loss management. Based in Houston, they will both report to executive vice president global freight forwarding Eric Martin-Neuville.
The restructuring of Geodis’ Industrial Projects division has been undertaken to tailor the company’s services to its customers’ needs, as well as to define an order-to-cash process for each segment, said the company. The Industrial Projects brand will be maintained and will comprise both projects and oil and gas.
HLPFI reported on November 6 that Geodis appointed Antje Lochmann as managing director of Geodis Freight Forwarding Germany, effective November 1.
