Germany-based Schmidbauer has added Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 and LTM 1050-3.1 mobile cranes to its fleet. In 2021 it will take delivery of a LTM 1650-8.1
In early April, Schmidbauer took delivery of the 450-tonne lifting capacity LTM 1450-8.1 at the Liebherr plant in Ehingen, Germany.
“Its short set-up times, 85 m boom and VarioBallast and VarioBase systems make the crane extremely versatile,” explained Werner Schmidbauer, company chairman.
The eight-axle crane can drive on public roads, has an axle load of 12 tonnes, and will mainly be used in the petrochemicals industry and for erecting tower cranes.
The heavy-duty LTM 1650-8.1, which has a lifting capacity of 650 tonnes, is scheduled for delivery next year.
