William (Bill) Flynn will retire as president and ceo of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings on January 1, 2020, when he will become chairman of the board.
The provider of outsourced aircraft and aviation operating services said its current executive vice president and chief operating officer, John Dietrich, will succeed Flynn.
Dietrich will become president, effective immediately, and will take on the ceo duties next year.
Elsewhere, chairman of the board Robert Agnew will become the board’s lead independent director on January 1, 2020.
He noted that under Flynn’s leadership, Atlas Air Worldwide has grown its fleet, diversified its service offerings, broadened its customer base and developed a “world-class” team of employees.
