May 6 - Bremen based Zeaborn has continued with its newbuilding programme by celebrating the steel cutting ceremony for its next two multipurpose heavy lift vessels.
Zeaborn intends to build 10 sisterships between 2015 and 2017. Each 12,00 dwt vessel will measure 144.7 m long by 22.8 m wide with a draft of 11.3 m. The vessels will come equipped with two 250-tonne capacity cranes.
The steel cutting ceremony took place at the Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering shipyard during April. These vessels are the third and fourth in the 10 ship newbuilding programme. Two further vessels are scheduled to have their steel cutting ceremony in July 2015.
