September 10 - Mexico based heavy lift and oversize cargo specialist Transtell has used two recently delivered Enerpac strand jacks to lift a 330-tonne generator at a combined cycle power plant under construction on the US/Mexico border.
Working with Spanish contractor Sener/Elecnor, Transtell raised the 10.2 m x 4.5 m x 5.3 m load by 14 m and then moved it another 20 m with a four-point gantry system onto its final foundations.
Transtell said that a skilled team had worked for over two months on the planning and procedures required to carry out the move.
After the successful completion of the project, the 400-tonne capacity strand jacks joined the growing list of lifting equipment at Transtell.
