Tadano Mantis has launched the GTC-500 telescopic boom crawler crane.
The GTC-500 features a lifting capacity of 50 tons (45.4 tonnes) at a 2.5 m radius. An optional 12.8-tonne counterweight package increases the lifting performance of the crane at longer radiuses, said Tadano.
The four-section boom has a maximum length of 34.7 m.
Tadano Mantis is the North American division of the Tadano Group. Earlier this week, Tadano acquired the Demag brand of all-terrain and crawler crane models from Terex, as HLPFI reported here.
The deal is expected to close in mid-2019 and includes Demag’s manufacturing facilities in Zweibrücken, Germany.
