July 17 - India based project forwarder Super Freight recently loaded the first two of 12 barges in Goa, destined for Batam, Indonesia.
The first barge weighed 500 tonnes and measured 69.8 m long, 13.5 m wide, 6.9 m high with a moulded depth of 4.35 m.
The second 540 tonne barge had dimensions of 70.5 m x 13 m x 6.9 m and a moulded depth of 4.3 m.
The heavy cargoes were loaded on to the Hansa Heavy Lift vessel Tokyo in a tandem lift using its onboard cranes.
The entire loading operation was conducted under the supervision of Super Freight.
