Schultze Steel Service has added two Cometto MTH45 transport vehicles to its fleet to support the handling of steel coils at the Arcelor-Mittal factory in Bremen, Germany.
The transport vehicles join Schultze Steel Service’s fleet of straddle carriers at the 12-ha storage area. The MTH45 straddle carriers have a payload up to 45 tonnes and are able to move long, heavy loads in a narrow path by hauling the load under the cabin and between the wheels.
The vehicle reaches a top speed of 25 km per hour. With a payload of 45 tonnes and a total weight of 88 tonnes, it can travel at 10 km per hour.
