December 19 - Effective January 1, 2015, oversize and overweight permitted moves of up to 14 ft 6 in (4.4 m) wide, 15 ft (4.5) high and 145 ft (44.2 m) long may occur in Illinois during daylight hours every day of the week.
The SC&RA advises that this is a dramatic increase from previous policy, which restricted moves to no more than 12 ft (3.6 m) wide, 13 ft 6 in (4.1 m) and 115 ft (35 m) long from noon on Saturday through to sunset on Sunday.
This welcome change should greatly improve traffic flow and efficiency moving through the Midwest, said the SC&RA.
