Sarens PNG, a joint venture between Sarens and Trans Wonderland (TWL), has added the Mac25 Franna crane to its fleet in Papua New Guinea.
The mobile articulated crane is centred around its advanced capabilities, versatility, and reliability. Its introduction into Sarens’ fleet comes after market demands from within the country.
With a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tonnes, the Mac25 Franna crane can lift 25 tonnes at a 1.4 m radius, 14.8 tonnes at a 3 m radius, and 1.8 tonnes at a 15.7 m radius. Alongside a patent-protected Dynamic Load Moment Indicator (LMI) for real-time monitoring, the crane has an 18 m hook height and a Superlift (SL) option which increases capacity by up to 30 percent with a low-slung counterweight.
The crane lends itself to application within the mining, oil and gas, construction, and industrial sectors within Papua New Guinea. Its flexibility also makes it well-suited for taxi rentals.
Last month, HLPFI reported that Sarens and Tugdock had secured funding for an operations and maintenance (O&M) hub at Port Talbot in Wales, UK.
