January 2 - The founder of SAL Heavy Lift, Hans Heinrich, unexpectedly passed away in his home on December 25, 2013 at the age of 67.
Heinrich founded the SAL office in Steinkirchen, Germany in 1980 before retiring in 2011 along with his brother, Claus Heinrich.
SAL has advised that any condolences be sent to condolence@sal-heavylift.com which the Heinrich family is having direct access to.
Instead of sending flowers, the family has asked for donations to be sent to the Duckdalben international seamen's club via the following bank details: Sparkasse Stade Altes Land, IBAN DE29241510051210120695, SWIFT NOLADE21STS
A memorial ceremony for Heinrich was due to take place in Steinkirchen today.
