February 4 - Intermarine LLC, through its US flag affiliate US Ocean LLC, has taken delivery of the 17,000 dwt multipurpose vessel Ocean Globe.
Ocean Globe, which is one of five multipurpose vessels in the company's US flag fleet, is equipped with three cranes and has a combined lifting capacity of 800 tonnes.
HLPFI believes that Ocean Globe, which was built in 2010, is the ex-Beluga Cape Town / Hansa HHL Hamburg, but Intermarine has declined to comment.
"The Ocean Globe is ideally suited to carry a broad range of cargoes, and her features allow her to operate in remote locations around the world," said Will Terrill, vice president of Intermarine's US flag services.
Following the vessel's registration as a US-flagged vessel in Jacksonville earlier this year, Ocean Globe sailed to Houston, Texas and loaded wind components for Gamesa's Talas de Maciel wind farm in Uruguay.
