Nordic Crane has boosted its heavy lift capabilities with an Enerpac JS-250 jack-up system, designed to lift loads up to 1,300 tonnes.
The JS-250 jack-up system will be deployed on infrastructure, tunnel and oil and gas projects in the region, and has already been put to work on the Norwegian infrastructure MossIA project – a 10 km double track railroad through the city of Moss.
For the work, the jack-up system lifted a 130-tonne concrete structure to a height of 5 m during tunnel works.
Nordic Crane established its heavy lift division in 2022, led by Paul Karslen, chief operating officer. He said: “The Enerpac JS-250 jack-up system is a good fit with our other heavy lift systems and brings a new level of flexibility to the lifting solutions we offer. The MossIA tunnel project is a great example of the jacking capability we now have available.
“We especially like the jack-up’s compactness and stability at 10 m. Moreover, it can be readily adapted from a jack-up to a conventional hoist system with the addition of header beams and strand jacks, enabling us to handle a wider variety of heavy lift projects.”
