September 4 - NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Corporation has acquired Tucker Oilfield Hauling Ltd.
Drayton Valley and Calgary based Tucker Oilfield Hauling is a leading supplier of rigging, lifting and heavy haulage service to the energy industry. Richard Tucker, who established the business in 1994, and Cory Crosby who joined Tucker in 2011, will become investors in NCSG and remain with the business.
"Cory and Dick have built a great business servicing their upstream, midstream and other customers in Western Canada and we are excited to be adding their deep expertise to our management team and welcome all of the highly skilled Tucker employees," said Ted Redmond, president of NCSG.
"Tucker broadens NCSG's geographic presence into the Drayton Valley and Edson areas, enabling NCSG to provide local services to customers there and broaden the services Tucker currently offers to include crane and ultra-heavy haul."
Crosby added: "With access to NCSG's team of 700 employees and NCSG's fleet of over 285 cranes, 235 lines of hydraulic platform trailers, 300 conventional trailers and specialised rigging services such as jack and slide and hydraulic gantries, Tucker will be able to take on larger projects/maintenance jobs and meet even more of our customers' rigging, lifting and heavy haul needs."
