Navantia Seanergies has acquired 72 axle lines from the Cometto MSPE 48T range.
The Spanish firm will use this high-tech equipment to move monopiles in the coastal town of Fene as part of the production process, to the storage place and the loading barge.
The items have a weight up to 2,000 tonnes. The accumulative amount of twelve six-axle self-propelled modules offers a total payload capacity of 3,150 tonnes. Three power pack units with 368 kW each provide the necessary power to master the challenges successfully.
Within the large kit of accessories, these tools will be necessary to drive the convoy as an open compound up to 60 m distance between the SPMT units.
In July, the first 14 XXL monopiles manufactured in Spain by the Navantia Seanergies-Windar Renovables were transported with Mammoet assisting with the marshalling of the components at Navantia’s Fene production facility.
