Grúas Villarreal owns about 30 Manitowoc mobile cranes, and also recently took delivery of a 600-tonne capacity Manitowoc 18000 crawler crane that is now the highest capacity model in its fleet.
The company said that it relies on these cranes for projects, such as one of the country's largest plastic production projects, Ethylene XXI - a forthcoming industrial complex that will annually produce 1.05 million tonnes of polyethylene.
"The MLC165 was the best candidate to join our fleet because it's a crane that's quick to set up and can work on all sorts of lifting jobs," said the company's general manager Cynthia Villarreal.
Cuauhtemoc Flores, Manitowoc's regional business manager in Mexico, added that the crane is easy to manoeuvre on any job site and also among several job sites, making it ideal for large-scale contractors such as bridge builders, steel erectors and pile-driving contractors.
