MAX Trailer has launched its MAX710 lowbed trailer, extending its product range by catering for heavier loads.
The Faymonville subsidiary said that the MAX710 consists of a gooseneck, a removable front bogie with two or three axles, a lowbed – as an excavator deck or with outer beams – and a rear bogie with four or five axles. The trailer can be used in a six-, seven- or eight-axle configuration.
Effectively acting as a fifth wheel, the gooseneck has a load capacity of 38 tonnes and is designed for 6 x 4 or 8 x 4 tractor units. For hydraulic functions, it can be used via radio remote control.
The trailer features a compact design with bogies which contain 19.5-inch pendle-axles, enhancing both its safety and portability. Available with two or three axles, the front bogie can be loaded onto the lowbed for unladen journeys. An excavator deck with adjustable mattresses or the lowbed with outer beams and a fixed loading floor are extendable lowbed options of the MAX710.
A bolt coupling is integrated into the rear bogie, ensuring a more compact design than previous models and, therefore, enabling further length gains. The rear area is equipped with a 900-mm wide excavator trough, where the boom of excavators or demolition machines are incorporated.
“Customers can adapt existing combinations later by purchasing individual components, as all components are compatible with one another,” said a company representative. “In addition, the complete metallisation ensures optimum corrosion protection and corresponding durability in use.”
Last month, Friendly Logistic acquired a self-steering FlexMAX tower adapter trailer from Faymonville.
