Transnacional takes delivery of the LG 1750 from Liebherr.

Brazilian crane company Transnacional has added a used LG 1750 to its fleet – opting for the eight-axle model. The 750-tonne crane will enable the firm to capitalise on new sectors.

“The demand for large cranes over 500 tonnes has long since been an issue for us. Our customers were increasingly asking for powerful machinery for complex projects such as in wind energy,” said Napoleão Luna, Transnacional’s managing director. “Following comprehensive technical and economic considerations, we chose the LG 1750 as it offers reliability, safety and exceptional performance.”

He added: “With tremendous load capacities and a wide choice of boom configurations, the LG 1750 is perfectly equipped for various applications in the oil and gas, renewable energies and cellulose and paper sectors, as well as major industrial plants in Brazil.”

The order for the LTM 1300-6.3 came from Germany, with Autokrane Werner Spallek opting for a new model. The crane company has been buying Liebherr cranes for 35 years.

With a 90 m telescopic boom which can be carried on road with an axle load of 12 tonnes, the crane also features a hydraulically adjustable, 20 m-long double folding jib. It has a maximum lifting capacity of 300 tonnes and can achieve lifting heights of up to 110 m.

Autokrane Werner Spallek has already put the crane to use as it was tasked with dismantling a top-slewing crane above roofs in Osnabrück, Germany. The 6-axle crane also features Liebherr’s VarioBase Plus, VarioBallast, Auto-Ballast, and Windspeed Load Charts.

The company has a broad base and serves a diverse customer segment, ranging from construction and industry to chemistry, the energy sector and infrastructure. The LTM 1300-6.3 be used primarily for the assembly and dismantling of construction cranes and pylons, given it does not require the mounting of neither fixed nor folding jibs.
