French crane rental company, Mediaco, has purchased two used lattice boom cranes from Liebherr – an LG 1750 and an LR 1600/2 crawler crane.
According to Liebherr, both cranes, which have been repaired and repainted, were delivered with new warranties.
Mediaco also ordered a retrofit kit comprising the derrick ballast with VarioTray for both cranes.
The 750-tonne capacity LG 1750 has already started work on the Grand Paris infrastructure project, said Liebherr. Meanwhile, the LR 1600/2, which features a lifting capacity of 600 tonnes, was used for the installation of a 140-tonne bridge in Blois, 200 km southwest of Paris.
Mediaco president Alexandre-Jaques Vernazza commented that purchasing used cranes delivers a variety of benefits, including shorter lead times for delivery.
