Switzerland-based construction company, Christen, has purchased a LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane from Liebherr.
The 230-tonne capacity crane features a 75-m-long telescopic boom and new technologies that aid eco-friendly function, said Liebherr.
Adrian Christen, chair of Christen Logistik, said: “After our last purchases of an LTM 1090-4.2 and LTM 1130-5.1, the LTM 1230-5.1 was the next logical step. It will replace a six-year old LTM 1200-5.1.”
In addition to erecting tower cranes, the LTM 1230-5.1 will be used for lifting operations in industrial plants and construction projects, where it will hoist prefabricated concrete components.
Angela Hess-Christen, chair of Christen Holding, added: “In the past we have hoisted aircraft into museums, and as a result of the fact that we are close to several lakes, we often hoist small boats out of the water or into the lake. These will also be tasks for the new LTM 1230-5.1.”
