March 16 - Liebherr mobile cranes that comply with stage 3b or over will now come with a rescue sheet, which aims to enable the fast rescue of passengers and recovery of the crane after accidents.
The rescue sheet, which is located behind the driver's seat, shows the structure of the crane and any hazardous substances on it. As well as showing details of fuels and oil on the crane, their hazard class, volumes and precise location, the sheet also details the driver's cab and crane cab, including the seats and their adjustment functions.
Liebherr says that it designed the tool to make it easier for recovery personnel to rescue crane drivers after traffic accidents or accidents on sites. Moreover, said the crane manufacturer, its mobile cranes are complex and highly technical vehicles, which are relatively unknown to fire service personnel.
A project team from Liebherr's facility in Ehingen, Germany worked closely with the local fire service to develop the concept. Practical tests were also carried out on driver's cabs and crane cabs.
