Kito Crosby has released its specialised line of hoists and load monitoring systems designed explicitly for overhead power line construction.
These solutions have been designed to improve the safety, precision and efficiency of heavy lift operations key to building and preserving robust energy infrastructure.
The equipment is used for installing, maintaining, and repairing power lines, including high-voltage transmission and distribution lines by lifting, pulling, or tensioning cables, tools, or other materials.
Kito Crosby’s overhead power line-focused portfolio includes the Kito LB / LB-SL lever hoists for lifting, pulling and tensioning; Crosby Straightpoint COLT & BOLT tensiometers for measuring cable line tension; Crosby Straightpoint SID & RLP wireless tension load cells for load monitoring; Crosby shackles for general lifting and rigging; as well as Crosby and Gunnebo Industries lifting points for general lifting and rigging.
Existing Kito LB fleets can be modified by certified distributors to Kito LB-SL with modification kits.
“Working on overhead power lines involves significant risks due to the high voltage and physical hazards. Our solutions combine first-class innovative features and are perfect for precise work in heavy conditions”, said Travis Buck, senior director sales & customer service EMEA and Kito Crosby.
In December 2024, Jason Bulan was promoted at Kito Crosby.
