Provider of steel wire and fibre rope products to the marine, oil and gas and shipping industries, Hendrik Veder Group, has strengthened its strategic alliance with Lift-Tex, a Dutch heavy lift fibre sling manufacturing company, within the UK.
Solely for the UK market, this collaboration will guarantee that industries contingent on heavy lifting across the country will have direct access to the Lift-Tex Extreema round sling product line, which is recognised for its strength, flexibility, and ease of use.
The development of the partnership has been made with the UK’s growing renewable sector at the forefront of the move, where slings are used to handle and transport blades in offshore wind farm foundations.
According to Lift-Tex, the Extreema slings are eight times stronger than steel on a weight-for-weight basis whilst reducing overall weight by up to 80 percent compared to wire rope, enhancing the safety, flexibility and cost-efficiency of lifts.
“By bringing Lift-Tex’s innovative Extreema slings to the UK market, we provide industries with a lifting solution that is lighter, safer, and more durable than traditional alternatives,” said Bertwin Zonneveld, managing director of Hendrik Veder Group UK.
Bert Snel, director of Lift-Tex added: “Our Extreema slings have already proven their value across Europe, and through Hendrik Veder Group UK’s strong network, we are confident they will make a difference to UK industries, particularly in the fast-growing renewables sector.”
In May 2024, Hendrik Veder Group named Anne Raangs as a sustainability and circularity specialist.
