October 2 - Royal Boskalis Papendrecht has taken delivery of its latest semi-submersible heavy lift vessel, Giant 7, which was built at the Keppel Nantong Shipyard in China.
The 21,000 dwt Singapore-flagged ship has a length of 173 m, a 36 m breadth, a depth of 8.5 m and a maximum draft of 6.45 m.
Giant 7 will be fitted with a Liebherr BOS 35000-600 crane with a 600-tonne main hook capacity.
The vessel is the third delivery in a three sistership order, with Giant 5 and Giant 6 already in service.
