October 1 - Southern Crane has taken delivery of its first Tadano all terrain crane - a new ATF 90G-4 - in North Carolina.
Southern Crane president Earl Johnson said that the 168 ft (51.2 m) main boom and 59 ft (17.9 m) jib length combination was very attractive, since it allows for quick set up and disassembly, even in conditions where room is limited.
Johnson said that the ATF90G-4 will be used for work on cellular towers, modular homes and HVAC, for example.
"We really like the interior tilt controls and seat which give the operator very good visibility," he added.
